Masters

Masters hockey is a summer league played on a Thursday night with most games played at Porritt Park. It is social, yet competitive and is a brilliant way of keeping your hand in the sport and staying in touch with old friends and adversaries. Men and women play on the same night, and after your match the lounge bar is always available to 'rehydrate' and reminisce about what the body used to be able to do.

If you are keen to play hockey again or are new to Christchurch, Masters is a great way to meet new people with like idea, and Avon is always on the lookout for new 'old' bodies to swell their ranks.

Criteria:

Men aged 35+
Women aged 30+
If not affiliated to a Club, a one-off fee of $50.00 payable to CHA and a weekly game fee of approximately $7.00 (this can differ from team to team) generally paid on the night.
