The Avon Hockey Club has it headquarters at the Linfield Cultural Recreational Sports Club, Kearneys Road. We are situated in the eastern suburb of Christchurch, however draw members from all over the city. We offer hockey to players of all abilities from a keen beginner to experienced national and international players.

This season we are fielding women's teams in CPL, Div 2, Div 3, Div 4 MWKO x 2, Grass, Youth and Junior grades and men's teams in CPL, Div 2, Div 3 (combined with Shirley BHS) MWKO x2, Grass and Junior grades.

Although the game is important to us, it's not just about the hockey. The Avon Hockey Club prides itself on its family environment and it being part of a wider sports club incorporating rugby, netball, football, squash, touch and softball. We attempt to run a number of social events over the season and it always finishes with our junior prize giving afternoon and senior prize giving evening.
